TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
An established and growing manufacturing organization in Gladwin County, MI is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team. In this role, you won't just fill positions-you will build the teams that drive production, innovation, and success. As our dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will spearhead the recruitment lifecycle for skilled trades, technical professionals, and corporate roles. Your daily efforts will center on building a vibrant pipeline of talent and ensuring an exceptional experience for every applicant. Compensation & Flexibility
Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $28.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Hours: Part-Time (24-30 hours per week)
Location: Beaverton, MI (Initial onsite training is required to deeply understand our roles and collaborate with site managers; thereafter, a hybrid schedule is available. Candidates must reside in Michigan to accommodate ongoing onsite needs.)
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with hiring managers and site leadership to analyze staffing needs and design tailored recruitment plans.
- Publish engaging job ads across our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and major job boards, while proactively sourcing passive talent via resume databases and social networks.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and present highly qualified individuals to hiring managers.
- Maintain transparent, timely communication with applicants to ensure a welcoming and positive hiring journey.
- Extend verbal and written employment offers, explain compensation and benefits package details, and coordinate pre-employment background and medical screenings.
- Input new hire data into our ERP and HRIS platforms, and maintain accurate tracking of all recruitment metrics.
- Coordinate and represent the organization at local career fairs, networking events, and industry meetups.
- Assist with organizing site training initiaives and managing state government documentation for training funding.
- Support internal employee engagement events, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and uphold company safety policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of dedicated internal talent acquisition experience within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience within a third-party staffing agency/search firm.
- Hands-on technical experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP experience is a plus).
- A proven track record of finding and engaging talent through resources like Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Handshake, and state job boards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities paired with advanced organizational skills to seamlessly manage multiple open requisitions.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to access and safely navigate manufacturing facilities (including climbing stairs or ladders as needed during site tours).
