Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Summary
Misericordia is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Behavior Support Services team. Misericordia’s BCBAs collaborate closely with key interdisciplinary professionals, families, and direct care staff in order to support our diverse resident population in a variety of environments. At this pivotal time in Misericordia’s history the BCBA will also be actively involved in welcoming new clients to the organization and implementing transition plans to assist in facilitating successful integration to adult services. The BCBA will work with clients with various skill levels in ICF/CILA residential, work, and community settings. The BCBA will be instrumental in the supervision and professional growth of Registered Behavior Technicians and BCBA trainees, as well as facilitate larger departmental or organizational trainings. The BCBA will have a flexible work schedule based on the needs of the employee and the organization.
- Design, develop, implement, and monitor individualized function-based treatments to address both behavior reduction and skill acquisition needs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design treatment within the context of Misericordia’s environment
- Provide necessary supervision to RBTs, direct care staff and support teams for clients receiving services
- Effectively communicate and maintain cooperative relationships with all interdisciplinary team members involved in client care
- Participate in department leadership and facilitate professional development for supervisees
- Collaborate with residential teams to plan and implement transition supports for individuals within Misericordia’s applicant pool
Qualifications:
- BCBA Certification Required
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field (or other pathway accepted by the BACB)
- Two years experience working with individuals with I/DD, experience with adults preferred
- Must be flexible with the ability to work within a variety of environments, including residential, day training, and community settings
- Strong communication skills, and experience with professional collaboration with IDT members
- Ability to work a variety of hours to meet the needs of the client and organization
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proven supervisory experience
PAY: $63,000 - $75,000
