Junior Fashion Buyer

Role Description

We are seeking a Junior Fashion Buyer to join our team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This is a full-time, on-site role. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fashion, understands consumer behavior, and is eager to grow in product strategy and merchandising.

You will work cross-functionally with sales channel leaders, product, design, and marketing teams to shape product direction and identify potential best-selling styles in the U.S. market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with channel leaders to develop merchandising strategies aligned with annual budgets and sales targets
  • Define product direction based on target customer profiles, brand positioning, and channel needs
  • Participate in product selection and development discussions
  • Identify potential best-selling styles through market trend analysis, competitive research, and data insights
  • Support decision-making on color, fabric, fit, pricing, and product assortment
  • Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and return reasons to optimize product selection
  • Work closely with design, production, marketing, and e-commerce teams to bring products to market
  • Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitive analysis, and buying strategies

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Fashion, Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or related fields)
  • Open to strong new graduates
  • Strong interest in fashion, apparel, and consumer trends
  • Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and customer insights
  • Strong commercial sense and results-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Chinese required)
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: Start from $65,000/year, based on experience
