Disney Cruise Line | Cruise Staff DJ

Disney Cruise Line® is searching for exceptional talent to bring energy and excitement to our onboard entertainment. 

We’re now inviting video submissions for the role of Cruise Staff DJ – a position that blends music, performance, and guest interaction.  Ideal candidates should have a deep knowledge of music, expert mixing skills, confident microphone presence, and the ability to engage audiences.

What we’re seeking:

We’re looking for dynamic performers ready to shape unforgettable nights at sea. As our in‑house DJ, you’ll craft immersive soundscapes that set the tone across the ship—curating deep house, tropical house, and chill beats infused with familiar pop music. Beyond the booth, you’ll step into the spotlight as a Cruise Staff—keeping the energy flowing, engaging guests with charisma, and ensuring the atmosphere stays cool, inviting, and elevated from morning to night.

Performers must have:

- Strong music knowledge and mixing/beat-mixing skills across popular styles on professional DJ mixing decks

- Confident mic presence and public speaking ability

- Willingness to learn and perform dance routines whether in a club-style setting or outside by a pool

- High energy, adaptability, and stamina for a seven-day schedule (typically over 70 hours per week)

Contract Details:

- Contract opportunities are typically four months of onboard ship performance followed by two months of non-paid break

- Preference is given to long-term commitments of at least a year or more

Audition Instructions:

1. Please video record the following and upload as an unlisted YouTube link:

a. 30-60 second introduction of who you are, where you’ve DJ’d, and why you want to work at Disney Cruise Line

b. No more than 5 minutes of video featuring a wide variety of songs, focusing on song transitions.  We want to see you in the video.

2. Create/Update your profile on DisneyAuditions.com

a. Make sure your profile includes an up-to-date resume and contact information

b. Add your YouTube link to your profile

3. Visit checkin.disneyauditions.com.

a. Click on audition titled “Disney Cruise Line | Cruise Staff DJ (Online Submission)”

b. Please only submit yourself once!

Select candidates may be invited to a DJ callback before advancing to further review of Cruise Staff abilities by DCL Recruiting.  Failure to follow the above steps may result in your submission being passed.  Please do not submit other acts outside of the description.

Deadline for submitting is Monday, June 22 at 8:00am EST.

Requirements:

- If selected, performers will be hired as crew and must complete all applications and onboarding requirements.

- Must comply with all Disney grooming guidelines and employment standards.

- All performers must be at least 21 years of age.

- All performers must be fluent in English (understanding, speaking, and writing).

- Travel is required.
