Multi Media Specialist

Primary Purpose: 

The Coordinator of Marketing supports the strategic marketing, branding, and promotional efforts of  Killeen ISD by developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, creating visually engaging  content and branded materials, and supporting recruitment, enrollment, and district image initiatives.  This role is responsible for ensuring consistent district branding and messaging across platforms,  supporting social media and digital engagement efforts, collaborating on districtwide communication  campaigns, and enhancing the district’s reputation through creative marketing strategies and audience focused storytelling. 

Qualifications: 

Education/Certification: 

Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, advertising,  journalism, or related field; three years’ experience in marketing, branding, communications, graphic  design, social media management, or related field preferred. Possess current driver’s license.   

Special Knowledge/Skills: 

Strong graphic design and visual communication skills with experience creating marketing collateral,  digital graphics, presentations, advertisements, and social media content. Experience with Canva and  other creative design platforms required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Knowledge of  branding, marketing strategy, audience engagement, and social media management. Ability to develop  and implement integrated marketing and promotional campaigns across print, digital, web, and social  media platforms. Experience creating visually engaging content for recruitment, promotional, and  community engagement initiatives. 

Understanding of social media trends, digital engagement strategies, and marketing analytics.  Experience managing website content and organizing digital communications preferred. Ability to  manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention  to detail, accuracy, and consistency. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and  interpersonal communication skills. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, departments,  and stakeholders to support district initiatives and communication goals.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:  

Manage the creation, launch, implementation, and evaluation of district campaigns and

 

promotional initiatives designed to support enrollment, recruitment, district image, social media  engagement, and strategic district priorities. 

Ensure communication and marketing materials align with district branding standards, messaging  frameworks, and visual identity guidelines while supporting regular reviews and updates of district  branding and key marketing messages. 

Collaborate with Communications Services staff to plan, create, execute, and evaluate integrated  communication, marketing, and social media campaigns that support district goals and initiatives. 

Lead the design and development of district marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures,  presentations, recruitment materials, digital graphics, signage, advertisements, promotional campaigns,  and branded content.  

Serve as marketing liaison with Human Resources to support recruitment and retention initiatives  through creative marketing strategies, recruitment campaigns, job fairs, employee engagement efforts,  promotional materials, and recruitment-focused digital and social media campaigns.  

Manage content and organization of Human Resources webpages and create engaging recruitment  copy, job advertisements, social media content, and promotional messaging for Facebook, LinkedIn,  Instagram, and other relevant platforms.  

Develop surveys, questionnaires, and feedback tools to support communication and marketing decision making. Monitor campaign effectiveness, audience engagement, and marketing analytics to evaluate  performance and recommend improvements. 

Review public-facing materials, including flyers, brochures, presentations, advertisements, webpages,  and social media content, to ensure accuracy, consistency, ADA accessibility, and alignment with district  branding standards.  

Organize and oversee district promotional items, branded merchandise, and swag inventory to ensure  alignment with district branding standards and marketing initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

May supervise employees and students during designated projects. Carries out supervisory  responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities  include interviewing, recommending for hire, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing  work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and  resolving problems 

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: 

Tools/Equipment Used: Ability to use peripheral devices, high level language programming concepts,  data management software, and application development tools. 

Posture/Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping,  pushing/pulling, twisting. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must  be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the  duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear, to use hands to finger,  handle, or feel, and to stand and walk. The employee is required to regularly lift and carry (less than 15  pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to  adjust focus.  

Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking,  grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders. 

Lifting: Regular moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds); occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45  pounds and over). 

Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an  employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Occasional district-wide  travel to multiple campuses, as assigned. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; emotional control under stress.
