About Rubicon Technology Partners

Rubicon Technology Partners is a Boulder, CO based private equity firm focused exclusively on middle-market enterprise software companies. We partner with founders and management teams to accelerate growth, strengthen operations, and build category-leading platforms. Our people and capabilities are central to our success—and we are committed to building differentiated tools and systems that drive durable value creation across our firm and portfolio.

About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, driven AI Analyst to join Rubicon’s growing Technology team. This is a ground-floor opportunity for a recent graduate to develop deep expertise in enterprise AI adoption while making a direct impact across our firm and 16 portfolio companies. You will work hands-on to deploy and scale AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others) helping teams across the Rubicon ecosystem build real AI skills and integrate AI into their daily workflows.

Reporting to and supporting our senior Value Creation Team leadership, you will split your time between driving AI adoption initiatives internally at Rubicon and traveling to portfolio companies to train, enable, and build AI capabilities on the ground. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable running a training session for a leadership team and going hands on building skills to automate real workflow problems.

What You’ll Do

Skills Building & Training

  • Lead the rollout of AI tools across Rubicon and portfolio companies, managing onboarding, configuration, and ongoing adoption
  • Identify high-impact workflows where AI can reduce friction and accelerate output for investment and operating teams
  • Design and facilitate AI literacy workshops and training sessions for both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
  • Travel to portfolio company sites (~30% of time) to deliver hands-on training, conduct workflow discovery, and drive sustained usage
  • Serve as an internal resource and first point of contact for AI questions, best practices, and troubleshooting across Rubicon and portfolio companies
  • Partner with portfolio company leadership and functional teams to embed AI tools into recurring workflows and business processes
  • Build and maintain a library of use-case playbooks, prompt templates, and training materials tailored to specific roles and industries
  • Document learnings, success stories, and adoption patterns to build a replicable playbook for future AI rollouts
  • Track adoption metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the deployment approach and share learnings across the portfolio
  • Support change management efforts to move teams from awareness to active, habitual AI usage

AI Tool & Workflow Support

  • Assist senior Technology team members in evaluating new AI tools, agent frameworks, and workflow automation platforms
  • Help test, document, and maintain AI agents and automations deployed across the portfolio
  • Support the development of internal standards and governance frameworks for responsible and effective AI usage

What We’re Looking For

We don’t expect you to have all the answers, we expect you to be eager to find them. The ideal candidate combines intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and genuine excitement about AI with the drive to learn fast in a high-performance environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline preferred); strong academic performance is a plus
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and a demonstrated interest in how they are changing the way people work
  • Hands-on experience building skills and simple agents with AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts simply and compellingly
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams across multiple companies
  • Willing and able to travel approximately 30% of the time to portfolio company locations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Exposure to coding, APIs, or workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) is a plus but not required
  • Any experience in enterprise software, PE-backed companies, or fast-paced environments is a plus
