Acceler8Networks is working with a well-established bank in the San Gabriel Valley and is looking to bring on an entry level Mortgage Support Officer to support the Loan Processing and Underwriting teams by thoroughly reviewing incoming borrower loan applications for completeness and accuracy, as well as verifying all required income, asset, and liability documentation. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, collaborates effectively with team members, and prioritizes exceptional customer service as a dedicated team player.

This is a contract-to-hire role with possibility to be hired permanently.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Mortgage Support Officer:
- Confirm the borrower's intent to proceed once applicable disclosures have been received and acknowledged.
- Reach out to the Mortgage Loan Officer and/or borrower as needed to gather any additional documents required for the initial underwriting review.
- Process file cancellations upon notification from the borrower.
- For loans subject to the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rule, verify that the borrower has confirmed their intent to proceed with the transaction before an appraisal is ordered.
- Process appraisal payments and update the status in Encompass.
- Order appraisal reports (including any necessary updates or revisions) and monitor their progress and status.
- Upon receiving email notification that the Appraisal Reviewer has cleared the report for delivery, mail or electronically provide the borrower with a copy of the appraisal report, AVM, or other related valuation documents.
Requirements of the Mortgage Support Officer:
- Recent mortgage operations experience or Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred
- Ability to follow a detailed process at a high pace
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) or Spanish preferred.
- Understanding of international and diverse customer segmentation
- Call Center or Customer Service experience in a banking environment preferred
- Requires close attention to detail, excellent verbal communication along with interpersonal and client service skills
- Having flexibility with work schedule, being able to work swing and weekend shifts
