Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, including but not limited to:
- Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes
- Establish supportive relationships with students
- Engage students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real-world discussions and learning activities
- Develop authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions, especially pertaining to students with special needs
- Develop plans (IEPs, behavior intervention plans, service plans etc.…) that are data based and support the growth and development of students
- Collaboratively work with team to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the district
Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
- Must be Louisiana certified; type `A,' `B' OR `C' - OR- LEVEL 1, 2 OR 3 in Mild/Moderate 1-12 or 6-12
- Willingness to coach football and/or baseball preferred
