Civitas Marketing Intern

This is a remote position, but the applicant must live in Wisconsin or within easy driving distance for one or two workday meetups covered by the company.

The Marketing Intern will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications 

Job Overview:

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated intern to join our growing marketing department. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in marketing and communications, then we want to work with you. Your work will include preparing presentations, writing and editing content, and supporting the marketing department.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have basic knowledge of marketing techniques and content creation.

Work Hours and Benefits:

Mid June-Mid September

(24 hours a week)

Remote, must be located in WI 

Pay: $14/hourly

Benefits include class credit (if applicable) and potential employment opportunities following the completion of the internship.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
• Write copy for social media posts, emails, and other marketing collateral.
• Assist in the creation of written, video, and other digital content.
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
• Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.
• Assist in marketing administrative duties.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
