Guest Experience & Hospitality Manager

CUL DE SAC is an NYC-based non-profit at the intersection of wellness and culture. We're building New York City's first outdoor community sauna with a cultural footprint, and hosting pop ups around the city transforming NYC's public spaces into open air bathhouses.

 

We're looking for a Guest Experience & Hospitality Intern to own the front-of-house at our SWEAT pop-up events. You're the first and last person attendees interact with — you set the tone. This is an on-site, people-facing role that blends hospitality instincts with operational rigor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage guest registration and check-in flow at pop-up events
  • Greet and orient attendees, answer questions, and create a warm first impression
  • Maintain accurate RSVP lists, waitlists, and real-time headcount tracking
  • Coordinate with the founding team on capacity management and on-site logistics
  • Handle attendee communications pre- and post-event (confirmation emails, day-of reminders, follow-ups)
  • Flag guest feedback and surface operational learnings after each event
  • Support setup and breakdown as needed

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (hospitality, event management, communications, or related — not required)
  • Based in NYC or able to commute to Brooklyn/Manhattan regularly
  • Available on weekends (events typically run Saturdays/Sundays)
  • Warm, composed, and comfortable being the face of an event
  • Organized and calm under pressure in fast-paced, outdoor environments
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
  • Interest in wellness, hospitality, community building, or public space
