General Studies Resource Teacher

Position Summary

Arie Crown Hebrew Day School is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time General Studies Resource Teacher to provide instructional support and intervention services to students requiring additional academic, behavioral, or learning assistance in English language arts and general studies instruction. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, support staff, and administrators to support student success and individualized learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and one-on-one  instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs)
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and instructional strategies
• Conduct assessments and identify areas needing intervention
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, department and grade-level meetings, PLCs, and student staffings as requested
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, English, or related field
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to support diverse learners in literacy and academic instruction

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience in intervention or resource teaching
• Experience with IEP development and behavior management plans
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and literacy intervention strategies
