Structural Engineering Drafting Intern - CAD/Design Support

Structura, Inc. is seeking Drafting Interns pursuing technical degrees from accredited programs to join our teams! This is an excellent opportunity for students in drafting, CAD, or design technology programs to gain real-world experience in a professional engineering and design environment. Interns will collaborate with engineering teams across offices, regardless of where they are stationed; gain hands-on exposure to firm processes and procedures; assist in preparing construction documents; create and modify drawings in AutoCAD and Revit; support active projects; shadow team members on client site visits; and participate in various team networking outings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Actively pursuing a certificate, diploma, or associate degree in Drafting Technology, CAD Design, Architectural Drafting, Civil Drafting, or a related technical program
• Strong interest in building design and construction documents
• Experience or coursework with design and modeling software, including Bentley products (RAM concept, RAM Steel experience is a plus), particularly AutoCAD and Revit (additional product experience is a plus)
• Experience or coursework with design and modeling software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit (RAM Concept or RAM Steel are a plus)
• Familiarity with building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.) preferred
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and oral/written communication skills
• Ability to multitask on several projects with guidance and support
• Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced professional setting
