Data Entry and Grant Research Assistant
Job Title: Data Entry Intern (Part-Time / Internship)
Location: 307 S Academy Street Murfreesboro TN 37130
Hours: 15-25 per week
Duration: Summer Internship
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Entry & Grant Research Assistant Intern to support our administrative and development efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, data management, and grant funding research.
The intern will assist with organizing records, maintaining databases, and identifying potential funding opportunities to support organizational growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Administrative Support
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain records in spreadsheets and databases
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness
- Organize digital files and maintain structured documentation systems
- Support general administrative tasks as needed
Grant Research & Support
- Research foundations, corporations, and government agencies for grant opportunities
- Compile and maintain a database of prospective funders
- Track deadlines, requirements, and submission timelines
- Assist with organizing materials for grant applications
- Summarize funding guidelines and eligibility criteria
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in business, nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and general computer applications
- Ability to conduct online research and summarize findings clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with data entry or administrative work
- Familiarity with grant research or nonprofit fundraising
- Experience with database systems or CRM tools
