Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern is a hands-on support role within LMCA’s marketing function, helping execute and elevate our digital presence and content output. In this position, you will assist with high-visibility initiatives across social media marketing, publications and creative project coordination. You will work closely with the marketing lead and VP to help keep workstreams moving, maintain quality and brand consistency, and contribute ideas that improve how we show up across channels.
Given the pace and variety of work, this internship comes with meaningful responsibility and real opportunities to build a portfolio. In addition to contributing to ongoing marketing initiatives, the intern will execute a capstone project over the course of the internship, defined in collaboration with the marketing lead, that reflects their interests and showcases their skills across content, strategy, or creative execution. This project will serve as a tangible portfolio piece demonstrating both creative thinking and end-to-end ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own scheduling and publishing workflows across social platforms, helping maintain a consistent content cadence and ensuring all posts align with LMCA’s brand voice and marketing objectives.
- Help support creative strategy by researching trends, gathering inspiration, and contributing ideas during brainstorms for digital content initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Create first-pass copy and creative assets for social media, email marketing, website updates, marketing collateral, and ad hoc editorial content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Assist with content calendars and project coordination across ongoing marketing initiatives, helping track timelines, organize deliverables, and keep workstreams moving efficiently across teams and stakeholders.
- Ongoing responsibilities may include support for ad hoc marketing requests.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, a related field OR equivalent experience/portfolio.
- Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow timelines, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable skills:
- Strong interest in content creation and copywriting, with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand messaging across social, web, and email.
- Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
- Interest in digital marketing analytics and reporting (platform insights, basic engagement tracking).
- Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently with guidance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite / Google Workspace; experience with project tools is a plus.
Bonus Qualifications
- Comfort working in a CMS (Wix, Squarespace, etc.) and making simple web edits.
- Basic video editing (CapCut, etc.)
