Accounting & Finance Intern

 

The Accounting & Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Accounts Payable processes and broader finance operations. This role offers exposure to real-world accounting practices, with opportunities to expand responsibilities as skills develop. This internship is for a minimum of one semester, with possible extension.

Essential Duties

  • Support Accounts Payable activities including invoice processing and expense tracking.
  • Enter data and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Upload receipts and documentation to financial systems (e.g., Bill.com).
  • Assist with research, filing, and account reconciliation tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety through awareness, reporting, and safe work practices.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills. 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

 Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Primarily office-based; requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods 
  • Ability to perform routine physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and lifting light materials (e.g., files or office supplies)
  • Walking and climbing are required for entry and mobility throughout all Catholic Charities Worcester County offices.

Pay Rate: $17/Hour

Location: On-site with possible hybrid opportunity

Hours: 10 -15 hours/week, specific days and times based on your class schedule
