Graduate Assistant- Marketing and Promotions
Responsibilities:
Marketing and Promotions
- Implement promotional activities for Atwood Memorial Center events and services
- Assist Atwood, the Department of Campus Involvement (DCI), and the Division of Student Affairs service areas with specific marketing/promotion projects
- Manage Atwood/DCI social media activities including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other platforms as necessary
- Plan and implement marketing activities for Atwood/DCI at admissions events and orientation
- Generate new video content for use in social media post and advertisement
Other Duties
- Work cooperatively with Department of Campus Involvement staff on marketing initiatives including social media, Advising and Registration Days, Orientations, Mainstreet, and Sidestreet
- Work on special projects as assigned by the Associate Director and Executive Director
Qualifications:
Required
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and admission to a graduate program at St. Cloud State University
- Proficiency in the Adobe Design Suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. When interviewed candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio of design work.
- Strong communications skills
- Experience in social media marketing
Preferred
- Evidence of experience in advertising and promotions or special event planning
- Evidence of excellent attention to detail and follow through skills
- Experience in video production
- Preference given to candidates pursuing related programs including Mass Communications, Higher Education Administration, and College Counseling & Student Development.
- A student must be in good academic standing and be enrolled full-time each semester of the appointment. International students, as well as U. S. citizens and residents, are eligible to apply.

Hours:
20 hours per week, including some evening and weekend commitments.
Compensation:
$10,560 per academic year. In addition to the salary/stipend, full-time graduate assistants are eligible for a tuition waiver. The tuition waiver covers up to and including nine graduate credits per semester for the academic year and in-state tuition for any remaining credits.
