Summer Internship Program
The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office is pleased to share information regarding our 2026 Summer Internship Program and to request your assistance in promoting this opportunity to students within Florida International University’s Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Communications, Business, Public Administration, and related programs.
As outlined in the Supervisor’s announcement, this initiative reflects our continued commitment to workforce development, civic engagement, and the preparation of future public service professionals.
Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, technical, or technology program and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement and community service.
Due to the program's structured nature, space is limited; however, all students who meet the program requirements are encouraged to apply.
Internship Opportunities
Interns may assist with:
- Software and application development
- Database reporting and data management
- Automation scripting and process improvement
- Information technology support functions
- Social media and community outreach initiatives
- Administrative and operational support activities
- Constituent/customer service and call center support
- Records processing, data entry, and digital document management
- File organization, records retention, and workflow coordination
- Election systems and operational support initiatives
Students will gain exposure to real-world public-sector operations while contributing to meaningful projects that uphold the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process.
We are particularly interested in students with experience or interest in:
- Python, C#, SQL, database systems, or technology operations
- Software development and automation
- Data analytics and reporting
- Communications, public outreach, and social media engagement
- Administrative operations and organizational management
