Dean of Instruction

We are seeking an experienced Dean of Instruction to support and strengthen teaching and learning across our schools. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about equity, academic excellence, and building systems that help teachers and students succeed.

A few role highlights:

  • Lead and strengthen rigorous, aligned instructional practices across classrooms through co-planning, curriculum support, and data-driven instructional leadership
  • Collaborate with school leaders in the planning and delivery of Summer Institutes and weekly professional development, including leading instructional content blocks. 
  • Support equitable student outcomes by partnering with Student Services teams, championing best practices for diverse learners, and ensuring targeted support for students with academic, social-emotional, and learning needs
  • Oversee instructional systems and continuous improvement efforts, including assessment planning and the implementation of research-based curriculum

What we're looking for:

  • Certification to teach in New York State or, willingness to become certified
  • At least two years of experience leading adults
  • Experience teaching in urban and/or low-income areas preferred
  • A collaborative, team-centric mindset and an openness to feedback
