About ZF Tuscaloosa:
ZF Foxconn’s Tuscaloosa plant produces the axles for the Mercedes-Benz U.S. International plant in Vance, AL where the North American supply of the C-Class and the world’s supply of the GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS SUVs are manufactured. ZF Tuscaloosa is the largest tier 1 supplier for MBUSI making approximately 10% of the entire vehicle.
About the Role:
The staff accountant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Plant Finance, Accounting, and Controlling Department as well as assisting on a variety of special projects and reports as needed. The Role will also support the filing of state and local Sales and Use Tax. Additionally, the Role will assist with financial reporting activities, month-end closing procedures, and other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
- Currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field or graduating in December.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting, and controlling functions
- Microsoft Office skills
- SAP ERP skills
- General knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
- Solid interpersonal, communications and listening skills
- English language competency – both oral and written
