Silver Economy UX Research Intern

WashonArt is an AI-powered creative platform helping users turn ideas, memories, and personal stories into visual artworks, personalized creative products, and community art experiences. The current focus is rapid market validation through viral event marketing, AI artwork products, older-adult creative engagement, non-clinical creative wellness, thematic lectures, and paid workshop programs.

Role Objective

Help WashonArt understand older adults, retirees, family buyers, and senior-serving organizations so the platform can build accessible and meaningful creative experiences for the silver economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct lightweight interviews, surveys, and usability tests with older adults, adult children, caregivers, and senior community stakeholders.
  • Identify barriers in technology comfort, prompt writing, visual instructions, trust, privacy, accessibility, payment, and perceived value.
  • Create personas, journey maps, and UX recommendations for older-adult users and family memory or retirement-related use cases.
  • Recommend improvements for onboarding, larger-text instructions, guided prompts, template selection, artwork review, saving, sharing, and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in Gerontology, HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Education, Marketing Research, or a related field.
  • Strong empathy, listening skills, and ability to synthesize qualitative feedback into concise product recommendations.
  • Interest in aging, family memory preservation, accessibility, creative expression, and inclusive technology design.
