Fiscal and Economic Research Center Editor - Summer 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The FERC editor will provide support in the collection, compilation, and analysis of quantitative information for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Fiscal and Economic Research Center. The editor will assist with drafting and finalizing the written report from the analyzed data and will serve as the primary liaison to the client regarding the report. Strong oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software are necessary.
Under the supervision of the FERC director, the FERC editor will:
- Interview the client to determine the questions to be answered by the study
- Collaborate with the client in drafting the survey/data collection tool to gather the necessary information
- Assist with staffing and conducting the survey
- Draft the economic impact report based on the analysis results

- Excellent skills in communication and decision-making
- Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in English
