Communications Graduate Assistant - Digital Communications, Slate, Telecenter Coordination

Summary of Job Duties:

The Graduate Assistant for Communications provides marketing and communication support for digital and print media, with a primary focus on expanding the Office of Admissions' social media presence.

Develop and maintain a social media presence and editorial calendar. Create engaging content through brainstorming, filming, and editing while collaborating with campus partners. Draw insights from marketing analytics to optimize engagement. Support copywriting, photography, and design efforts for other digital and print media as needed. 

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must provide proof of acceptance and be enrolled in a UAF graduate program through the Graduate School

Enrolled in Marketing, Communications, English, Higher Education, or related graduate program

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite and other software programs

Ability to work 20 hours per week with regular, and non-disruptive attendance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing professional social media accounts

Experience utilizing marketing analytic tools

Copywriting and/or editing experience

Photography, videography, and/or digital design software experience


Additional Information:

Graduate students are subject to background checks.

 

Salary Information:

$19,260/yr.
