TITLE: Student Worker – Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), College of Graduate Studies & Research 

 

COMPENSATION: Minimum of $14 an hour/Preference for students who are enrolled during the summer semester for a minimum of 8 credit hours (4 credit hours for graduate students).


 

POSITION TERM: Open now through mid-August. Approximately 20 hours/week.  Pending performance, there is the option to rehire in the academic year 2026-2027.


 

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Student Worker in OSP will support the department with organizational, procedural, and communication activities. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Help review procedures for grant proposals and for processing and tracking awards.
  • Develop procedural documentation and harmonize documentation with OSP’s website.
  • Update OSP’s website to ensure completeness, consistency, and correctness of information.
  • Help review processes for yearly departmental events (e.g., Celebration of Student Scholarship) and draft revised procedures.
  • Update communication and social media templates and procedures.
  • Support office coverage as needed.
  • Assist OSP director and assistant director with projects and duties as assigned.


 

REQUIREMENTS & CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Have a working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, email, phone systems, and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to learn new systems and use different platforms, such as Drupal, Cayuse, and Google Drive, and Adobe Express.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and problem solve.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new things.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Be free of academic and/or disciplinary probation and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 while employed.
