Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and creative Landscape Design Intern to join our growing team. This internship is ideal for a current horticulture, landscape architecture, or environmental design student interested in combining traditional landscape knowledge with modern AI rendering and visualization technology.

The intern will assist in creating AI-generated landscape renderings and conceptual designs for residential and commercial landscape projects while gaining hands-on experience in landscape design, plant selection, and client presentation development.

What the job entails

You will support our operation managers, account managers and business developers in creating AI rendered landscape illustrations. Our managers either don’t have the time or the tech savvy skills to create the renderings themselves.

You will be given photographs, guidelines, plant material selections, descriptions and other information to create the renderings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating AI-generated landscape renderings and visual concepts for residential and commercial projects 
• Support the design team with conceptual layouts, planting ideas, and enhancement recommendations 
• Research and recommend appropriate plant material for Central Texas landscapes and seasonal color rotations 
• Help prepare client presentation materials, mood boards, and project visuals 
• Edit and refine AI-generated renderings using design software and feedback from project managers 
• Assist with site measurements, photo documentation, and field observations as needed 
• Collaborate with operations and sales teams to help bring project concepts to life 
• Maintain organized digital project files and design assets 

Qualifications

• Most important qualification is you love technology and are excited to race into the AI driven world and apply it to your landscape/horticulture/design profession.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field 
• Passion for landscape design, plants, and outdoor environments 
• Interest in AI technology, rendering software, and digital design tools 
• Basic understanding of plant identification, and landscape materials preferred 
• Strong attention to detail and creativity 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills 

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AI image generation or rendering platforms 
• Social media or content creation experience is a plus
