Short-Form Video Editor
Short-Form Social Video Editor (Please read the full description)
The Big Dill® is hiring a paid, project-based Short-Form Social Video Editor to help turn our existing event footage into weekly TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts content.
This is a perfect summer internship for a creative editor who wants real experience turning trends into content for a national festival brand with a 1.3M+ social following.
We will supply the footage, brand assets, past event clips, food content, crowd moments, Dilly mascot clips, vendor footage, and access to copyright-safe music resources such as Motion Array. Bonus if you are skilled enough to develop original content concepts from scratch, including scripts, voiceovers, simple graphics, memes, or edits that do not rely entirely on existing footage.
Experience with AI editing tools is a major plus. We are actively exploring AI-assisted video workflows, including ways to bring Dilly, The Big Dill mascot, to life through short-form content, motion, character clips, social edits, and branded video concepts.
Your job is to understand what is trending on social, translate those trends into The Big Dill’s brand voice, and create fast, clickable short-form videos that drive attention, engagement, and traffic.
This role is about editing and creative packaging, not filming. The right person knows how to take existing footage and make it feel timely, native to social, and worth clicking.
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of video editing experience, strong short-form instincts, and a portfolio of edited work. Applications without a portfolio, reel, TikTok/Instagram account, YouTube channel, or work samples will not be considered.
Each week, you will pitch 3 to 5 short-form content ideas and produce 2 to 3 quick-turn edits using existing Big Dill content. Most videos will be short, punchy, and built around hooks, text overlays, captions, music, meme timing, food shots, crowd energy, and clear calls to action.
Voiceover ability is a major plus. Marketing instincts are important. We want someone who understands how content supports ticket sales, brand growth, sponsor value, and fan engagement.
Strong skills in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, AI editing tools, or similar editing platforms are required.
