Fall 2026 Fashion Internship - Fashion Class Instructor

 

Are you a fashion major who wants real, hands on experience working on creating a collection while building leadership skills that employers value? 

 

Join Future Fashion Stars this 2026 - 2027 school year and become of part of our passionate enrichment education team delivering Concept, Illustration/Sketching, Design, Sewing Basics, the Importance of Sustainability in Fashion & more to elementary and middle school students.  This is more than an instructor role - it's an internship for a thriving start up Future Fashion Stars where you will design, create, build and teach kids about fashion while developing processional communication and leadership skills. 

 

You will also have the opportunity to work side by side the founder in enhancing the enrichment experience thru evolving educational materials and developing new classroom capsules. Future Fashion Stars launched in summer 2023 with one summer camp in one location.  In just three years, we have over 50 locations in Ohio and New York.   We are growing fast.  Work with industry professionals and university graduates.

Position Details. 

Locations (schools and recreation centers across the area)

Cleveland Ohio 

Columbus Ohio

Cincinnati Ohio

Schedule:  Saturdays 930 - 1130am & 1 - 3pm and Weekdays After School 330 - 530pm 

Compensation:  

Paid $20 per hour, must commit to the 4 - 6 week class series  

Transportation:  you must have a car to reach various camp locations across Cleveland. 

 

Why This Role? 

Real World Fashion Experience:  Create a fashion collection with the students,  you will actively apply your fashion knowledge. 

Develop Teaching and Leadership Skills:  Guide kids ages 6 - 12 thru creative capsules and design challenges. 

Collaborate on Special Projects:  Contribute to curriculum enhancements, innovate class capsules,  bring your best ideas. 

Expand your Fashion Knowledge:  Work with industry donated materials,  support students in bringing their creative upcycle ideas to life,  lead the production for the family fashion show at the end of camp. 

Key Responsibilities:  Preparing materials and supporting Camp Creative Director in managing curriculum, camp flow.  Work side by side founder to create new materials and class capsules. 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Passionate about teaching the next generation about sustainability in fashion. 

Available to work in the camps on location 

Strong interpersonal skills. 

Sewing (a plus) 

Previous experience working with kids (a plus)
