POSITION DESCRIPTION
Synapse School has an opening for an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS effective August 3. This is a full time, salaried position with benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
- Be an ambassador for Synapse School’s mission, vision and values
- Organize and manage Admissions events including information nights, school tours, applicant visits, playgroups, fairs, and welcome events
- Lead school tours and parent coffees
- Conduct parent interviews
- Review all applications in Ravenna application database and participate in Admissions decisions
- Contribute proactively to admissions and enrollment strategy as a key member of a collaborative team
- Work evening and weekend events in addition to school hours
- Support the application process with prospective families, from inquiry to enrollment
- Correspond with prospective families
- Assist with website and marketing
- Manage re-enrollment for current families and enrollment onboarding for new families
- Support all school functions and supervision of TK-8th grade students as needed
- Other duties as assigned
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in school admissions, school administration, or related field
- Positive, enthusiastic, and warm personality
- Ability to connect with prospective families and colleagues
- Skilled in navigating sensitive conversations with discretion, empathy and professionalism
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Professional and proactive communication skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace, managing many projects and tasks at once
- Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with problem solving skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively initiate workflow and be adaptable
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn new databases and systems
- Advanced computer skills especially in Google Sheets, Docs and Slides
- Passion for Admissions and Synapse School
- Experience in marketing and event planning a plus
- Second or multiple languages a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations.
- Able to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues and prospective families.
- Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, such as equipment or supplies.

COMPENSATION
$105,000 - $125,000/year
