Your Impact

As an Intern in our Business Development Operations Sector, you will have the unique opportunity to make an impact at an early-stage social tech start-up and gain direct hands-on experience and exposure to all facets of social entrepreneurship, from business development, data analytics, marketing and more. You will work closely with the North Node team to help create, moderate, manage, analyze and optimize social channels of communications with the community and help identify, strategize and penetrate new mediums to market the North Node brand and deliver its core message to the user base. You will engage in a positive community-based culture that is committed to our goal of continuously working towards a humanitarian society advocating compassion, integrity and good citizenship. 

Your Role and Responsibilities

North Node is hosting a virtual part-time Summer Internship looking to on-board a driven, energetic, friendly, communicative self-starter to assist on brainstorming and planning our client acquisition efforts and executing business development strategies in an intimate tech startup. The intern will help with expanding North Node in executing the Client Management and Business Development strategy where we manage a number of Nonprofit-Clients and BizDev projects. This is a high visibility position, providing a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to work with the team in a fast-paced environment and obtain a strong understanding of the startup's business core model.

Tasks include:

•      Work with team in executing a solid messaging plan

•      Develop online communications with local businesses and potential clients

•      Driving critical projects associated with client onboarding/management, event planning/execution and BizDev strategies

•      Execution and oversight of clients and BizDev coordination

•      Learn CRM systems and pipeline management practices

•      Identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders at potential client companies to increase client base

•      Recommend app framework for first phase launch to enhance client experience

•   Strategize new initiatives to increase website traffic by analyzing current market and business trends

•   Identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders at potential client companies to increase client base

Your Qualifications and Skills 

•       Business, Communications, Public Relations or related field Full-time Student/Recent Grad

•       Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets & Docs

•       Social Media Savvy (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) 

•       Strong Written and Verbal Communications Skills 

•       Passion for Social Impact and Philanthropy

•       Tech Experience preferred
