Paid Canvasser
The Maurice Brown for Assembly campaign is hiring paid canvassers to help us reach voters in high-priority areas across the district. This role is central to our voter outreach program and will involve direct conversations with community members about Mo’s campaign, the issues that matter most, and the importance of participating in this election.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, energetic, comfortable speaking with new people, and interested in progressive politics. No prior campaign experience is required.
Responsibilities
Paid canvassers will be expected to:
- Knock doors and speak directly with voters
- Share information about Mo Brown and the campaign
- Identify supporters and collect voter feedback
- Follow assigned canvassing routes in priority neighborhoods
- Accurately record voter contact information
- Represent the campaign professionally and respectfully
- Commit to at least 10 hours per week through Election Day
Pay
- $20 per hour
Qualifications
Strong candidates should be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable having conversations with voters
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to canvass outdoors and walk for extended periods
- Passionate about community engagement and voter outreach
- Available for weekday and/or weekend shifts
