Technical Report Writer (Part-Time, Unpaid)

Impactful Education Summer Program is an intensive learning initiative designed to provide students in Anyama with access to literacy, digital skills, creative workshops, leadership development, and educational opportunities outside the traditional classroom. Each year, the program brings together students, educators, volunteers, and partners to create a dynamic learning environment that nurtures curiosity, strengthens academic skills, and builds confidence.

As the program continues to grow, Impactful Education is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Technical Report Writer to support weekly program documentation and reporting throughout the Summer Program. This role will also assist in drafting annual reports and impact summaries that highlight program outcomes, activities, partnerships, and community impact.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

  • Support documentation and reporting of Summer Program activities
  • Assist in drafting clear and professional weekly reports
  • Help organize program information, data, and impact highlights
  • Contribute to the development of annual reports and program summaries
  • Support communication of program impact to partners, supporters, and stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Documentation

  • Draft weekly reports summarizing Summer Program activities and outcomes
  • Assist in compiling program updates, attendance information, and activity highlights
  • Organize photos, testimonials, and supporting materials for reports
  • Support the preparation of annual reports and impact summaries
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and organized program documentation

Writing & Communication

  • Support clear and professional written communication
  • Help present program impact in an engaging and structured format
  • Assist with editing and proofreading reports and related materials
  • Collaborate with team members to gather relevant program information

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to organize information clearly and professionally
  • Interest in education, youth development, nonprofit work, or community impact
  • Experience with report writing, research, communications, or documentation is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • English required; French is a plus but not required

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY & COMMITMENT REQUIREMENTS

To ensure continuity and effective reporting, candidates should be available to support weekly documentation activities throughout the Summer Program period.

This is a voluntary and unpaid position offered as part of the Summer Program initiative. In return, participants will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit reporting, impact documentation, program evaluation, and professional writing while contributing directly to a high-impact educational initiative. A formal letter of recommendation will be provided upon successful completion.
