About 

VeYou is a microdrama streaming platform that launched in April. We produce short-form vertical video content and we're building a creator-first community around it. We're looking for a freelance Social Media Manager to help grow our presence.

The Role 

As our Social Media Manager, you'll edit and publish vertical videos at volume from existing assets, and manage our community across platforms. Most video assets are provided, so the focus is on sharp editing, strong platform instincts, and keeping our audience engaged.

Responsibilities

• Edit and publish video edits from provided assets at volume
• Own platform strategy across channels; recommend content mix, posting cadence, and format decisions based on performance data.
• Manage and grow VeYou's social channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
• Community management: engage with followers, respond to comments, foster fan culture
• Optimize content for each platform (captions, formats, trends, timing)
• Collaborate directly with the Founder, Chief of Staff, and Product Manager on content strategy and brand voice
• Pitch original content ideas when inspired; there's room for it if you want it!

What We're Looking For

• Experience editing short-form or vertical video content (fan edits, brand content, etc.)
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
• Eye for pacing, trends, and what makes people stop scrolling
• Comfortable with community management and engaging audiences authentically with good judgment for brand safety

Bonus Points

• You make fan edits - even if you do this for fun, we’d love to see it!
• Proficient in After Effects
• Light graphic design skills (Canva, Figma, Photoshop)
• Familiarity with microdrama or serialized short-form content
