Entry-Level Computer Technician
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Computer Technician to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for technical issues, helping to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade our organization’s hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Support: Assemble, install, configure, and test computer workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
Software Management: Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and standard business applications.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues reported by staff.
Ticket Management: Respond to helpdesk tickets promptly, documenting issues and resolutions clearly within our IT tracking system.
Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform routine system maintenance, virus/malware scans, and hardware upgrades (e.g., replacing RAM, hard drives, or power supplies).
User Offboarding/Onboarding: Deploy standardized tech setups for new hires and securely wipe/repurpose equipment from departing employees.
Inventory Control: Maintain an accurate inventory of all company hardware, software licenses, and IT accessories.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of computer components, operating systems, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS).
Certifications (Preferred but not required): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals.
Problem-Solving: A logical, methodical approach to troubleshooting technical glitches.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (for moving servers, computers, and monitors) and crawl under desks to manage cabling.
