Grizzly Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Machine Service Representative to join our Springfield, MO team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys carpentry, mechanical work, or hands-on troubleshooting but is ready to transition into a position with less physical labor and more customer interaction. You will use your mechanical aptitude to help customers over the phone with product questions, troubleshooting, and order support.
As a Machine Service Representative, you will provide first-level technical support for woodworking and metalworking machinery. You will answer calls, assist with pre-purchase questions, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, process orders, and help customers navigate parts, manuals, and warranty needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Support: Answer inbound calls, establish rapport, and provide accurate information.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues using manuals, diagrams, and parts lists.
- Order Processing: Place orders, verify customer information, process payments, set up returns, and handle warranty requests.
- Product Guidance: Answer pre-purchase questions, check inventory, and offer cross-sell or up-sell recommendations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Draft credit memos, process freight/UPS returns, complete reports, and assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks.
- Collaboration: Communicate with leads, supervisors, and coworkers to resolve customer issues efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools.
- Communication: Clear speaking, active listening, and strong written communication.
- Computer Literacy: Ability to type at least 20 WPM and navigate computer systems.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to assess problems and identify effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry, order processing, and troubleshooting.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly, patient, and helpful approach to customer interactions.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with change and fast-paced environments
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ months of inbound call center experience preferred.
- 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with woodworking, metal working, or electrical systems is a plus (training provided).
