POSITION SUMMARY
As a BDA, you will be responsible for nurturing and developing leads into qualified sales opportunities, as well as supporting the sales team with prospect development. This role will be a fast-paced challenge, and you will need to bring a positive, go-getter attitude every day. This position is an entry-level new business development role with the trajectory of advancing into a Sales Associate position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a strong understanding of GBS products, services, and solutions in order to effectively communicate value propositions to prospective clients and target markets.
- Promote GBS products and services through strategic business development, prospecting, marketing, and communication efforts.
- Conduct phone- and email-based prospecting activities, including HubSpot sequence outreach, utilizing predefined target account lists to identify opportunities and generate interest.
- Generate early-stage demand and qualified leads that contribute to pipeline growth and future sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to learn the sales process and develop the skills necessary for a successful transition into a future sales role.
- Utilize CRM platforms to document prospecting activities, maintain accurate client information, and track pipeline progression.
- Leverage business intelligence and data research tools to identify target companies, key contacts, market trends, and prospecting opportunities.
- Utilize AI platforms, including, to conduct account, industry, and market research in support of business development initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of social media content and posts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to support brand awareness and engagement.
- Provide recommendations and ideas to improve business development processes, outreach strategies, and overall sales performance.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and related software tools to support reporting, presentations, communication, scripting, and personal productivity.
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned weekly and monthly reports, activities, and performance tracking requirements.
- Meet or exceed assigned business development goals, activity expectations, and performance metrics while providing requested updates and reports to management.
- Participate in sales and marketing events, including tradeshows, seminars, networking functions, and customer engagement activities, as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Previous inbound or outbound sales development experience [1-2 years] preferred
- Coachability: You constantly want to improve and are open to constructive feedback.
- Flexibility to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in utilizing the PC, Microsoft Office and the internet for presentation, business software, project management, and all forms of communication.
- Effective verbal/written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with customers, partners, etc.
- A strong goal orientation
- Good organizational skills and follow-through.
