Role

Minno is hiring a paid summer intern to support rugged Android and Windows tablets used by industrial customers. This role involves hands-on software and hardware support, device configuration, system updates, server-based OTA update support, and customer-facing technical troubleshooting.

One key project is helping Minno set up and support a server-based process to push over-the-air updates to devices. Experience with MDM is helpful, but the primary focus is OTA update delivery, system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.

The right candidate should be comfortable learning independently, working with real devices, documenting issues clearly, and taking ownership of technical problems from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Android and Windows software support and device configuration
  • Troubleshoot device software, hardware, and connectivity issues
  • Support OS, firmware, BIOS, OTA, and security updates
  • Assist with server setup and configuration for OTA update delivery
  • Test OTA update workflows and validate devices after updates
  • Test devices and assist with basic repairs
  • Document technical issues, test results, update procedures, and solutions clearly
  • Communicate with customers as needed
  • Interface between customers and supplier engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues

Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with Android OS
  • Basic familiarity with Windows OS
  • Interest in IT, systems, device/software support, embedded systems, or practical AI tools
  • Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable learning independently and taking ownership of technical tasks
  • Hands-on experience with server setup, OTA updates, BIOS/firmware updates, system configuration, or security updates is strongly preferred
  • Experience with MDM platforms is helpful, but not required
  • Interest or experience with AI tools, automation, scripting, or data analysis is a plus, but not required
