Accounting Internship

SKB Management is a property management company specializing in the management of multi-family apartment units across Wisconsin.
Position Summary
The Accounting Intern will work alongside an experienced financial professional to assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping operations.
Responsibilities
- Process rent payments and maintain accurate tenant payment records
- Apply late fees and NSF (non-sufficient funds) charges as needed
- Enter and maintain financial data within AppFolio
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks
- Complete bookkeeping duties
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Work through accounting and operational checklists to ensure accuracy and completion
- Assist property managers with documentation and administrative support
- Support the office with miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing accounting degree
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Familiarity with AppFolio or QuickBooks is a plus but we will teach!
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
