The Opportunity

A thriving, beautifully renovated private non-profit animal shelter is seeking mission-driven veterinarians to fill two premier roles: a Medical Director and an Associate Veterinarian. Operating as a grant-backed community clinic with a proud 48-year history, Souris Valley Animal Shelter maintains a strict "No-Kill" philosophy and an incredible 98% live-release rate. This is a unique chance to choose your path in shelter medicine—either step into medical leadership or secure a highly supported, predictable associate role.

Ultimate Balance: Burnout stops here. Unlike typical high-stress shelter environments, our hours are strictly Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no Saturdays, no Sundays, and absolutely no on-call.
