Sales Development Representative
Sovereign Insurance Group is launching a new SDR hiring cohort and is seeking multiple motivated Sales Development Representatives to join our team on August 3, 2026.
This is a structured development role for people who want to build a long-term career in commercial insurance sales. You will start alongside a group of peers, train together, learn the business together, and build the foundation to eventually move into a commercial insurance producer role.
You do not need prior commercial insurance experience or prior sales experience. What matters most is drive, coachability, communication ability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn a complex but rewarding industry.
Why Join Us?
- A Real Development Path. This is not just a call-center role. The SDR position is designed to help you build the habits, insurance knowledge, and sales judgment needed for a long-term career in commercial insurance.
- Learn by Doing. In addition to outbound prospecting, SDRs will have the opportunity to work on select small-business and in-house referral opportunities. This gives you direct experience with real accounts, real coverage questions, and real client conversations.
- A Team-Based Cohort. You will start with a group of peers who are learning the same role at the same time. You will train together, hear what is working, learn from each other’s calls, and grow in a competitive but supportive environment.
- Stability + Momentum. Sovereign has decades of history, a specialized market focus, and consistent growth. You get the benefit of joining a stable company with meaningful room to grow.
- Impactful Work. Your activity directly supports new business growth. You will receive training, coaching, lead-generation support, and feedback from experienced insurance professionals.
- Compensation Growth. This role includes a competitive base salary and bonus opportunities for strong performance. Leads generated through outbound prospecting will generally be referred to a Sovereign salesperson, but SDRs may also have the opportunity to work select small-business and in-house referral opportunities directly and earn commission dollars. The role is also a pathway into a Commercial Insurance Agent position, where long-term compensation can grow meaningfully through commissions.
