Financial Planning Associate

Founded in 1992 and located in Washington, DC, Lynx Investment Advisory provides conflict-free, objective investment advice to a diverse group of investors. Services include asset allocation, manager selection, performance monitoring and financial planning. The firm's experienced senior team has been working together for over 14 years, creating a trusted and collaborative environment. We are actively growing our financial planning practice and seek an additional financial planning professional to add to our team. The firm’s clients are divided evenly between institutional (endowments, foundations and qualified plans) and global high net worth investors. Total assets are in excess of $1 billion.
THE POSITION:
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with a senior advisor and with the support of the research team, meet with clients to determine their financial objectives and risk tolerance;
Create financial plans for clients utilizing eMoney software;
In collaboration with a senior advisor, provide ongoing guidance to clients on investments and the financial strategies that will help meet their goals;
Light operations and administrative work;
Travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of financial planning strategies and investment management;
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail;
Exceptional Customer Service skills to build and maintain strong client relationships
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field;
CFP® designation or demonstrated progress toward CFP® designation;
Experience using eMoney software is preferred;
A series 65 qualification is necessary, but, if not already possessed, can be taken after employment;
Working knowledge of Hindi is a plus;
Must reside in Washington, DC metropolitan area
