Help Desk Technician

$14-16/hr. dependent upon experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, ticket
  • Perform tier 1 remote troubleshooting diagnostics and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Advise users on appropriate resolution action
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Log all help desk interactions, events, problems and their resolution in a ticketing system
  • Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues

 

Job Requirements: (preferred skills)

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Experience as a help desk technician or other customer support/service role (IT preferred but not required)
  • Ability to follow instructions to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Basic proficiency and understanding of computers.
  • Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week
