The Union Area School District in New Castle, PA, is accepting applications for an anticipated opening for a full-time, permanent middle/high school English teacher beginning the 2026-2027 school year.  

Individuals must hold a valid PA English teaching certificate.  

The deadline for applying is Monday, June 8. All application materials must be received by 3 pm to be fully considered.  Only complete applications will be considered.  

If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit the following materials:  Letter of Interest, PA Standard Teaching Application, current resume with three references, copy of valid PA Certificate, and current (within one year) Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances, as well as Act 168 release.  If you are currently employed, please also submit copies of any formal evaluations.
