Middle School Science Teacher
We are seeking a knowledgeable, dynamic, and student-centered Christian Middle School Science Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and real-world applications in a structured and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and delivering standards-based Science instruction aligned with grade-level benchmarks
- Teaching core concepts in Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, and Scientific Inquiry
- Creating engaging lessons, labs, experiments, and project-based learning opportunities
- Using data to assess student progress and provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning
- Preparing students for advanced science coursework and standardized assessments
- Maintaining a positive, organized, and well-managed classroom environment
- Communicating regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations
- Collaborating with colleagues and administration to support student achievement and school initiatives
- Integrating technology and interactive learning strategies into instruction when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Love for God & Christian education
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or related field
- Teaching certification or eligibility (preferred)
- Experience teaching middle school science (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to make science engaging, relevant, and accessible to diverse learners
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
