[NAVER Cloud] Foundation Model Research Intern

Job Description

This internship focuses on Foundation Model benchmarking, large-scale data analysis, and LLM performance evaluation. Interns will contribute to research on the relationship between model performance and large-scale datasets, while helping design automated evaluation systems and benchmarking frameworks for Foundation Models.

Responsibilities

• Design and research benchmarks to analyze correlations between Foundation Model performance and large-scale datasets
• Build benchmark creation frameworks and conduct evaluation automation research for Foundation Models
• Analyze LLM-related data and conduct experiments involving model performance and training variables
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across model development, data, evaluation, and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from an undergraduate program
• Available to work full-time for approximately 3 months
• Interest and/or experience in natural language processing (NLP), LLM data analysis, large-scale data processing, or prompt engineering
• Strong Python programming and framework utilization skills
• Experience using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Transformers
• Ability to read, understand, and implement recent AI/ML research papers

Preferred Qualifications

• Major in AI/ML-related fields (e.g., Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics)
• Research publication experience at major AI/ML conferences
• Strong performance in AI/ML competitions (e.g., Kaggle)
• Experience actively using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) to improve productivity and research quality
