About the role

We're hiring our first Technical Account Manager. This is a foundational role: you'll define how our managed-service customers and our product team work together, while building a hybrid skill set that combines customer ownership and hands-on product development.

You'll run support and account management calls for the CPG brands using Overjoy to operate their wholesale business. Your job is to keep them successful, surface what's broken or missing, and serve as the dedicated channel for getting their needs in front of our product and engineering teams.

This is not a traditional customer success role. When you identify a meaningful problem, you'll prototype the solution yourself in Claude Code, validate it with customers, and use that evidence to drive engineering investment. Over time, you'll lead product launches end-to-end — from discovery through rollout.

The bar for your first six months: meaningfully improved customer satisfaction, full ownership of the customer-feedback-to-product loop, and at least one launch — sourced from your own insight — that moves retention or ACV in a measurable way.

Responsibilities

  • Run support and account management calls that leave customers more successful and our team better informed
  • Translate customer pain into clear, engineer-ready problem statements
  • Prototype solutions in Claude Code to validate ideas before engineering commits
  • Lead at least one product launch end-to-end
  • Build the playbook for capturing and synthesizing insight from every customer touchpoint
  • Hit retention and customer satisfaction targets

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Internship or project experience that put you between customers and engineering or product
  • Shipped real projects with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI development tools
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into precise, engineer-ready language
  • Confident and credible in customer conversations
  • Fast learner on complex, fast-changing products
  • CPG, wholesale, or Overjoy experience is a plus
