Internship at Sterling Construction

Kingfisher Recruiting has partnered with Sterling Construction to hire a 2026 Summer intern. Sterling Construction is a $9M General Contractor in Livonia that does residential and commercial construction. 

This role is open immediately and would be focused on the following areas.

- Learning Project flow from beginning to end. 
- Learning Estimating
- Learning Material Ordering
- Learning how to coordinate sub-contractors
- Learning the financial cycle of a construction firm
- Supporting the owner's schedule and coordinating on his behalf
- Learning how the office work (AP/AR and more)

A large part of this job will be helping the owner of a growing construction company as we continue to scale the company.  As a company of only 20 employees you will get a lot of time with all members of the staff and learn the business side of a construction company. This role is a better fit for someone that wants to learn the business side and may not be as good of a fit for someone focused on being in the field and on jobsites.  There will be some field time, but more focus will be based in the office.

Hourly Pay will be competitive.
Employee must have their own transportation. 
Upon graduation, the company will consider previous interns first for all related positions.
