We're a Dutch-based American AI startup building forensic tools that detect manipulated media. You'd be the person keeping our training data sharp — which means the models we ship are only as good as the work you do. No fake tasks, no coffee runs, no being ignored in standups.

Duration: 6 months | Hours: 25h/week min | Location: Fully remote | Timezone: CET overlap | Compensation: Unpaid | Level: MSc preferred

Yes, it's unpaid. We're being upfront about that. In return, you get real access to the codebase, the AI team, and the decisions. This hits different if you want a portfolio entry that actually shipped, not a "we built a demo" internship.

What you'll actually do

• Build and maintain image and video datasets for our computer vision models
• Apply preprocessing and formatting — garbage in, garbage out is a real problem here
• Write Python scripts to automate repetitive data prep tasks
• Document sources, methods, and structures so the team can trust and use what you build
• Work directly with AI engineers and PhD researchers — ask questions, flag issues, contribute ideas

You're a fit if

• Is Python your default? Pandas, numpy, scripting, and file handling. Not just "I know Python"
• You're doing or have finished an MSc in AI, data science, forensics or cybersecurity (or equivalent self-taught depth — we can tell)
• You're detail-obsessed!  Messy data breaks models, and you care about getting it right
• You're self-directed, meaning we won't chase you. You figure things out, ask smart questions, and deliver
• You're available 30h/week min with CET overlap, goal-oriented, not clock-watching
• Deepfakes, AI forensics, and media authenticity genuinely interests you
