Envision Me Program Overview

EnVision Me is a holistic educational program that empowers high school students to engage with digital media arts for self-expression and personal development, while gaining skills for future success. By combining critical thinking, artistic skills, and technology, EnVision Me equips students with the tools to tell their stories, collaborate effectively, and succeed academically — all while nurturing their creativity and self-confidence.

Internship Description 

EnVision Me is seeking motivated and creative college sophomores, juniors, and seniors studying digital media, film, or photography to join our internship program. Interns will serve as mentors and creative guides, working directly alongside high school students to support their growth as visual storytellers and help them bring their "Into My Lens" documentary projects to life.This paid internship offers a meaningful opportunity to apply your academic training in a real-world, community-centered setting while making a lasting impact on the next generation of digital media artists.  

Intern Responsibilities 

  • Assist students with technology equipment (iMacs, mics, and Adobe Creative Cloud functionalities)
  • Assist the teacher with teaching new concepts and attend weekly sessions to assist program participants one - on - one with video editing, filming, storyboarding, and voiceovers during weekly sessions at the partner school. 
  • Research and compile information and activities, experiences for educational materials for Envision Me lessons
  • Photograph/videotape programs in progress and forward them to the program coordinator 
  • Review and organize EnVision Me equipment and supplies
  • Attend Envision Me debrief meeting at the end of the program semester; 1 or 2 class field trips, and end of the semester showcase
  • Complete 1 weekly meeting with Envision Me staff to review sessions virtually or in-person

Hours

Weekly hours range from 5 - 8 hours (7-8 hours is max) 

Stipend will be divided into two amounts of $750 after completing required # of sessions of your internship. 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and passion for digital media arts (film, photography, audiography)
  • Has experience with Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Adobe After Effects
  • Current Undergraduate Student pursuing in Film, Photography, Digital Media Arts, or Mass Communications Degree 
  • Creative, Energetic, Outgoing, Helpful, and Organized
  • Outstanding photography and or cinematography skills
  • Ability to teach and guide students with equipment and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Experience with working with students and multi-tasking
  • Professional and head-forward attitude
  • Ability to lift +30lbs of equipment
