What You’ll Do
- Lead interactive ASL classes for K–12 students using Whizara’s curriculum
- Introduce students to American Sign Language and Deaf culture
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Adapt lessons to different age groups and learning styles
- Keep students excited, focused, and actively participating
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and program coordinators
- Provide positive encouragement and constructive feedback to students
- Arrive prepared and ready to create an outstanding class experience
What We’re Looking For
- Interest or experience in American Sign Language
- Open to beginner, intermediate, or advanced ASL users
- Passion for education, communication, and working with children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, patient, energetic, and professional
- Comfortable leading groups of K–12 students
- Willingness to learn and grow as an instructor
- Reliable transportation to Bell Gardens, CA
- Teaching, tutoring, camp, or youth experience is a plus—but not required
