Marketing Specialist: Help Us Build the Future of Education

Location: Remote | Employment Type: Exempt Full-Time | Compensation: Base Salary ($40K - $45K)

ProTrain is a 22-year-old institution built on the "Gold Standard" of education and professional integrity. We are a North Carolina Proprietary school, nationally accredited by Middle States, with a successful training relationship with over 300 partners. In our virtual environment, trust is our currency. We are looking for an energetic, creative Marketing Specialist who operates with transparency, values clear communication, and understands that rigorous documentation is the foundation of our success.  At ProTrain, if it isn’t in Salesforce and our Cloud, it didn’t happen!

ProTrain serves a diverse and expansive marketplace. While we are leaders in individual student success, we are aggressively expanding our footprint in the B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) sectors. This is an ideal role for a recent marketing graduate or an early-career professional who wants to touch every part of the marketing mix from viral social content to high-level corporate partnership development.

You will support targeted campaigns across several key segments:

  • Government & Military: Supporting Active-Duty members and Military Spouses. 
  • Workforce Development: Helping participants through the WIOA program. 
  • Corporate & Higher Ed: Assisting with B2B outreach and university partnerships. 
  • Direct Enrollment: Helping self-pay students find the right path to a new career.  

 

The Role: A Creative Content Engine

We are seeking a proactive, "can-do" creative individual who is excited to help evolve our brand. You will assist in developing marketing activities that capture attention while maintaining the professional reputation that defines ProTrain. This is a hands-on role where your curiosity and initiative will directly contribute to our growth.

Social Media & Content (Your Domain):

  • Short-Form Video Maven: You have a strong pulse on TikTok and YouTube Shorts trends. You are comfortable filming, editing, and appearing in (or directing) basic content that drives engagement. 
  • Social Platform Management: Schedule and manage posts across Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, ensuring a consistent brand voice. 
  • Creative Production: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Acrobat) and Canva to update brochures, banners, and digital assets.

 

Technical Toolkit & Responsibilities:

To succeed in this role, you should be tech-savvy and eager to master our core platforms. We value a proactive mindset over years of mastery:

  • CRM & Automation Support: Working knowledge of Salesforce or HubSpot (or a similar CRM). You should be comfortable managing leads, updating records, and learning to build basic automated email workflows.
  • Web & Content Updates: Familiarity with WordPress (Elementor experience is a plus). You’ll be responsible for making routine site updates, building landing pages from existing templates, and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Social Media Content: A strong pulse on short-form video trends (TikTok/YouTube Shorts). You should be comfortable filming and editing basic content and scheduling posts across Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
  • Data Awareness: Proficiency in Google Analytics to track basic performance metrics. You should have the curiosity to look at the data and suggest ways to improve our campaign results.
  • Creative Production: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Acrobat). You should be able to update existing marketing materials like brochures and banners and create simple digital assets independently.
  • Accessibility Awareness: A basic understanding of WCAG accessibility standards. You don’t need to be an expert on day one, but you must be committed to learning how to keep our digital content inclusive and compliant.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Customer-service mindset with a nurturing approach.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Enthusiasm for helping people succeed through education and training.
