Summer Sales & Marketing Intern

RFI Security is seeking a creative and organized Summer Sales & Marketing Intern for a part-time, educational shadowing program. This position is strictly behind the desk and by the side of our leadership team. You will not be handling security field duties or cold calling. Instead, you will gain an inside look at how a security firm drives growth through targeted event marketing, client relationship management, and strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Marketing & Design: Learn how B2B firms use networking mixers, seminars, and promotional events to drive sales. Assist leadership in brainstorming, coordinating, and promoting summer marketing events for RFI Security.
- Collateral & Campaign Creation: Help draft digital invitations, design promotional materials (using tools like Canva),
- Sales Shadowing: Sit in on client consultations, sales calls, and account reviews to observe professional negotiation, pitch structures, and contract design in a unique industry.
- Market Research: Conduct basic market research to identify upcoming regional events, local commercial developments, and assist in targeting property managers who require physical security infrastructure.
Position Requirements & Schedule
- Hours: Low-time commitment of 12 to 16 hours per week (flexible to accommodate summer classes or another part-time job).
- Target Majors: Marketing, Business Administration, Professional Sales, Communications, or Criminal Justice.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency in design software such as Canva, professional phone/email etiquette, and a desire to learn.
- Academic Alignment: Preference is given to students seeking university internship credit, though all eligible local students are welcome to apply.
Compensation
- $500.00 / Month Educational Stipend
